Lockers (keep until Sept. 29th)
Any Grade 12 student that would like to claim a locker must respond to the email from Ms. Earl. Once a locker is assigned to you please see Mr. McConnell on your lunch and he will remove the gold lock for you. You must use a school issued combination lock on your locker.
Orange Shirt Day – Attention everyone! Wednesday, September 30th is fast approaching and that’s Orange Shirt Day. Please find your orange t-shirts and participate. It’s our way of showing our support for Truth and Reconciliation. This is an event that is only successful if we do it together. Show you care on Wednesday, September 30th.
Math Help (please leave this announcement in weekly on Thursdays)
There is Math Help today after school starting at 2:15 in room 242. Students of all grades are welcome. You bring the math; we’ll bring the help.
Literacy Lunches
Students are welcome to drop into Room 215 during either lunch period on Tuesdays and Thursdays for support with grammar, writing conventions, and other literacy-related skills.
Cross Country
Cross Country team members participating in today's meet in Strathroy are reminded to exit classes after period 2. Change, and meet at the H doors. The team bus departs at 11:00.
Volleyball Score-keeping
The Junior boys volleyball team is looking for a group of dedicated, reliable score-keepers for their home games. Please see Ms. Ciz (in Portable 5) TODAY if you're interested. Experience with score-keeping is preferred.
Robotics
All those who signed up for the Robotics team are reminded of our first Robotics practice of the year, taking place in room 222 at 2:15 sharp tonight. If you didn't sign up for robotics yet, but you are still interested, please be at today's meeting!!
Senior Girls Basketball
The Senior Girls Basketball team started their regular season off with a BIG win against CCH last night in our home gym! Despite being down in the early minutes of the game, the girls clawed their way back on top thanks to the clutch shooting of our veteran, Emma Taylor and our rookie, Sophia Baker. CCH put the pressure on the 4th quarter, but the Bulldogs kept their composure and locked it down on the defensive-end to hold on to the lead and finish with an 8-point victory! Best of luck to the team as they continue their tournament play at Fanshawe this Friday and Saturday.
