Lockers (keep until Sept. 18th)
Attention all students. Mr. McConnell will visit Grade 9 homerooms the first week of classes to assist students in claiming their lockers. All Grade 10 and 11 students must see Mr. McConnell on their lunch to claim their locker. Gold locks will only be removed by Mr. McConnell if you have your school issued lock with you. All lockers must be claimed by Friday, September 18th or they will be redistributed. Grade 12 students that want to request a locker must wait until Monday, September 21st. Mr. McConnell's office is Room 147 by the Chapel.
Orange Shirt Day – Attention everyone! Wednesday, September 30th is fast approaching and that’s Orange Shirt Day. Please find your orange t-shirts and participate. It’s our way of showing our support for Truth and Reconciliation. This is an event that is only successful if we do it together. Show you care on Wednesday, September 30th.

There is Math Help today after school starting at 2:15 in room 242. Students of all grades are welcome. You bring the math, we’ll bring the help.
Music Ensembles
Good morning to all of the musicians out there. The Bessette music department will soon begin the rehearsal season for Concert Band and Jazz Band. Perhaps you have played in a concert band before? If you play a wind or a brass instrument you are invited to add your name to a signup sheet on the music room doors. That is room 118.
DECA Club
If you're interested in business, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, leadership, or competitive events, now is the time to join DECA! Sign-up QR codes are posted outside Room 226 and throughout the hallway. Our first meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 22, in Room 226, where we'll discuss competitions, events and business categories.
Golf Try Outs
Calling all golf players in grade 11 and 12. If you are interested in trying out for Golf, please see Mr. Pizzuti outside room 226 for tee times next Monday! That is next Monday, Golf try outs – outside room 226.
Literacy Lunches
Literacy Lunches are back! Every Tuesday and Thursday, drop into Room 215 during either lunch for support with reading, writing, grammar, sentence structure, editing, punctuation, and literacy test prep! Pop in for help and pick up some helpful resources!!
SR Football
This Saturday, September 19th at 12pm the SR Football team is taking on our rival, Banting Broncos in the 4th annual Battle of Hyde Park. Come out and support the Dawgs with your friends and family as we look to hoist the trophy for the 3rd time in 4 years. Tickets will be sold via School Cash online for $5 this week. Get your tickets and make it loud for your Bulldogs this weekend. Again, the Battle of Hyde Park is this Saturday at home and kickoff is at 12pm. Entry is $5, we want you there!!!! Robotics 🤖
The first meeting of the Robotics team will be moved until NEXT Thursday, September 24th. Still interested in coming out for robotics? Please sign up at the robotics table on Clubs day, or simply show to our first full robotics team practice next Thursday, September 24th, in room 222.

Student Parking
Attention all senior students. Parking passes are being distributed this week. If you are parked in student parking as of Monday, September 21st and do not have a student parking pass your car will be ticketed.
SHSM ARTS AND CULTURE
