SWIS Worker
Hey Bulldogs! If you are new to Canada this message may be for you. Today in room 149 our school SWIS worker is at Saint André Bessette. The SWIS Worker (The Settlement Workers in Schools Program) provides information and referrals to school and community-based resources to support the settlement process for newcomer families and students. Our SAB SWIS worker is named Layla. Come out and meet her if you have any questions.
Transportation and Construction SHSM Field Trip
Members of the Transportation and Construction SHSM have a mandatory Field trip to the Skills Ontario competition in Toronto May 6th. Field trip forms must be picked up from transportation room 136. They must be picked up by Thursday at 10:00 am.
Math Help
There is Math Help after school today beginning at 2:15 in room 242. Students of all grades are welcome. You bring the math; we’ll bring the help.
Spirit Wear Day
Do you have school spirit? This Friday, April 26th is a school spirit wear day. Don’t forget to wear your spirit wear tops that represent your school teams and clubs from Saint Andre Bessette. Uniform bottoms are required.
CultureFest
Hey Bulldogs! SAB’s long awaited CultureFest is fast approaching! If you’re interested in running a table, keep an eye out for posters around the school with registration information, and check out our school’s instagram page for the latest updates. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to embrace your country’s diversity and enjoy an unforgettable event!
CultureFest Arts Day!
Hello bulldogs! If you are interested in participating in the cultural arts day through preforming a cultural dance, song, poem, etc, you are encouraged to scan the QR codes posted throughout the school and fill the form to audition. Auditions will take place on Friday May 3. Please note you cannot perform if you do not fill the form.
We are very excited to collaborate to put together this wonderful event.
Science Help
The science department will be offering science help for all students in grade 9 or 10 science classes. Science Help will be offered at the same time as Chemistry Help on Wednesdays after school in room 249. Please see Ms Scott if you have any questions.
Prom
Tickets for the prom are on sale this week until Friday. Please make sure you buy your ticket early to avoid last minute problems. There will be no exceptions made to this deadline. If you wish to pay with your debit card please come to the main office. Please see Mrs. Jarvis with any questions or concerns.
Bessette Books Club
Hey there members of the Bessette Books club. Our annual trip to the Forest of Reading Festival and White Pine Awards is fast approaching. If you have not done so, make sure you complete your permission form and give it to Mr. Gallivan. Addition forms are available in the library and in room 102.
Scripture Study
Check out our four-week bible study, “Hearing the Word and Living It,” in the chapel after school, beginning next Monday. We’ll be looking at four gospel readings about our call to share in the mission of Christ. All are welcome!
