Lockers (keep until Sept. 29th)
Any Grade 12 student that would like to claim a locker must respond to the email from Ms. Earl. Once a locker is assigned to you please see Mr. McConnell on your lunch and he will remove the gold lock for you. You must use a school issued combination lock on your locker.
Orange Shirt Day – Attention everyone! Wednesday, September 30th is fast approaching and that’s Orange Shirt Day. Please find your orange t-shirts and participate. It’s our way of showing our support for Truth and Reconciliation. This is an event that is only successful if we do it together. Show you care on Wednesday, September 30th.
DECA Club
Attention everyone who has signed up for DECA. Registration and practice is tomorrow in the library. Everyone must attend if you want to confirm your event and place at regionals. The final 50 student roster is being posted Wednesday and everyone must be there tomorrow to confirm their spot.
BSA – Black Student Association
Attention all students looking to join the Black Student Association. There will be an important meeting at the beginning in period 5 in room 243 with Mrs. Aaliyah our Black Graduation Coach, as well Samantha Forrester our EDI Advisor
Senior Girls Basketball
Your Senior Girls Basketball team had another busy weekend of basketball competing in the Fanshawe Tournament. Although the girls finished with a 1 and 2 record, they showed impressive mental toughness and grit in their first game against UCC on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs had previously lost to UCC at the Windsor tournament a few weeks ago, but weren’t about to let it happen twice! Special shout out to Elien and Sereen for stepping up and leading the team from the point and to Riley and Sophia for their clutch foul-shooting in the 4th.. Best of luck to the girls as they play in back-to-back away games on Tuesday and Wednesday.
After School Literacy – The After School Literacy Program will run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:15 – 3:15. See Mr. Fliesser or Ms. Parker for the sign-up form. The program begins once we have 12 students registered.
SHSM Sports
Attention Gr 11 and 12 students registered in the Sports SHSM, your first meeting of the year is coming up on Thursday. Please plan to meet at 11:00 in the Dance Studio on Thursday. If you know you can’t attend, please see Ms. Woodburn ASAP. Additional information can be found on our D2L page.
