SWIS Worker - Please leave message for every Tuesday. 

Hey Bulldogs! If you are new to Canada this message may be for you. Today in room 107 our school SWIS worker is at Saint André Bessette. The SWIS Worker (The Settlement Workers in Schools Program) provides information and referrals to school and community based resources to support the settlement process for newcomer families and students. Our SAB SWIS worker is named Layla. Come out and meet her if you have any questions.    

 

After School Literacy Program 

If you are interested in joining the after school literacy program please see Mr. Blando or Ms. Parker for a sign up form. The program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:15pm-3:15pm. This program is available to any student who wants a place to work on their literacy skills, homework, or prepare for the Grade 10 OSSLT which will be completed in November. 

 

 

Morning Band 

Good morning to the musicians out there. Do you play a wind or brass instrument? Have you been in a school band before? If you are interested in playing an instrument in the school’s Concert Band, please see the sign-up list posted on the music room door – room 118. You can also talk to Mr. Vermue about the group. This award-winning band is for players of various levels of experience. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin next week. 

 

English Help(please keep this announcement each Tuesday and Thursday) 

Drop in to room 216 for Lunch-time Literacy Help period 3 or 4 TODAY, and every Tuesday and Thursday. Have all your English and literacy questions answered. Mrs. Jones is there to help! 

 

Math Help  (please keep this announcement in weekly) 

There is Math Help today after school starting at 2:15 in room 242. Students of all grades are welcome. You bring the math; we’ll bring the help. 

 

DECA Meeting Thursday 2:15 

Attention to all students looking to participate in this years Business case competition DECA team.  The first opening meeting is Thursday after school at 2:15. All grades of students are encouraged to participate, especially if you excel in marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, or any business-related topics!  

 

Parking 

This is a friendly reminder that students are prohibited from parking in the staff parking lotVehicles that do not have a staff parking permit will be ticketed.

Club Day is coming to SAB on Wednesday, September 17th during both lunches.  Take a look at what Clubs SAB boasts, sign up at that table, then listen to announcements or check your student email for your first meeting!
