SWIS Worker - Please leave message for every Tuesday. 

If you are new to Canada this message may be for you. Today in room 107 our school SWIS worker is at Saint André Bessette. The SWIS Worker (The Settlement Workers in Schools Program) provides information and referrals to school and community-based resources to support the settlement process for newcomer families and students. Our SAB SWIS worker is named Layla. Come out and meet her if you have any questions. 

 

Math Help (please keep this announcement in weekly) 

There is Math Help today after school starting at 2:15 in room 242. Students of all grades are welcome. You bring the math; we’ll bring the help. 

 

Pottery Club (please keep weekly)  

Pottery Club is after school tomorrow in Rm 228. See you there!  

 

Grade 12 Awards of Distinction:(Please read this announcement Tuesdays and Thursdays until May 8th) 

 If you would like to nominate a grade 12 student for an award of distinction, please scan the QR code in the office or guidance to nominate a peer.  Please read the descriptions carefully as only those students who meet the criteria for the award will be considered. Please note that most awards come with a monetary grant.   
 
Stratford Trip 

There will be a meeting today after school at 2:10 in room 103 for the English field trip to the Stratford Festival. Please see Ms. Lanoue or Mr. Schalk if you have any questions. 

 

Boys Soccer 

A reminder to all boys soccer team members about practice starting at 2:15 in Mr. Pizzuti’s room then in the gym.  Please make sure you have your indoor shoes for todays practice.   

 

 

Elementary School Visits 

The Guidance Office is looking for students to accompany Mrs. Coombs on a visit to our elementary schools at the end of May. If you can answer YES to all three questions, please come to Guidance to apply and get more information.  

#1) Are you in Grade 10 or 11?   

#2) Are you a graduate of an LDCSB elementary school?   

#3) Do you want to be a SAB ambassador and visit your elementary school to present to the grade 7  and 8 classes about SAB?  

If you said YES three times, then please come to Guidance to apply by Friday, May 1 at 2:15 pm.
