Student Program Support

The Role of Student Program Support Teachers and Subject Teachers in Inclusive Schools:

Administrators will evaluate the needs within the school and determine how best to schedule personnel. Student Program Support Teachers (SPST) are available to support students with exceptionalities in their classroom or resource room. In instances where the SPST is working in a classroom with students with exceptionalities, he or she may also support the learning of other students as opportunities arise.

Our resource room is located in Room 116.

Individual Education Plans will be sent home twice a year with the students in October and March.  An IEP is a working document that can be updated throughout the school year.  If you have any questions or concerns about your youth's IEP, please reach out to the appropriate SPST listed at the bottom.

Although some roles are common to subject teachers and SPST, it is important to acknowledge that both teachers bring areas of expertise from their respective fields which enrich the teaching/learning environment as noted below.
