OSSLT Information

OSSLT:
This year, the EQAO Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test for grade 10 students will be held during the regularly scheduled religion classes for in both semesters.
 
Session A of the OSSLT will be written on Tuesday, November 21st and Session B will be written on Wednesday, November 22nd. Students re-writing the test (and other scheduling reasons) will write Session A and B of the test in the Library on Thursday, November 23rd at 8am. The test will run through period 1 and 2. Students who need to access additional supports have a pre-arranged writing time and space in Learning services on each of those days.

Literacy Support Sessions and Preparation Resources:
Literacy support sessions are being offered after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Room 104 by Ms Vauthier,to support students who may want focussed practice with the OSSLT, or for students who want to develop their literacy skills with a cross curricular approach.
If you are interested in registering your grade 9 or 10 child in the course, please fill out the Student Registration Form Below forms below and return it to the main office. (Students re-writing the OSSLT are also welcome to take the course). Read the After School Literacy Document for more information.
 
  • An additional Prep Session for navigating the OSSLT (using the Power Point on this site) will be held for re-writers on Tuesday, November 7th from 2:15-3pm in the SAB Library.
 
  • The D2L shell called OSSLT Prep-SAB is open to ALL grade 10 students as well as any student re-writing the test on November 23rd. This is an excellent resource with 5 modules to support students in reviewing and preparing for the test.
